To share your story is a vulnerable thing. So too is inviting a documentary crew into your home to put that story to screen. As a director, I hold empathy for this and am deeply committed to crafting an ethical practice. This requires fostering an environment that creates space for listening, open communication, and boundary setting before any filming happens, because

the greatest compliment is when people featured in a film see the final version and say, "I feel seen."
